The modern dating tagline is “not looking for anything serious”. Which is code for “I like you, but I don’t want to be held responsible for the way I treat you”. We treat each other as disposable. why does it matter? You can just summon a new date from the internet, same as the person in front of you.

So many who don’t know how to communicate. No wonder we’re so scared to have real, adult relationships. We’re all too busy playing dating chicken, where the first one to care about the other loses. Sometimes all you can do is anticipate it, avoid those people, and try to provide them with opportunities to grow as a person.

Don’t lose your optimism! They are rare, but there are still people out there who believe in relationships as something more.
